Brent "Woody" Harvey - Race Engineer, No. 4

Brent “Woody” Harvey returns to Panther for his second stint as Race Engineer after serving as the lead engineer on Panther’s dominant 2003 Indy Pro Series championship team. After his successful run in the Pro Series, Woody moved up to Race Engineer on the IndyCar Series effort for Mark Taylor and Townsend Bell in 2004, collecting five Top Ten finishes with Bell.

After a one-year hiatus from the team, Harvey returned in 2006 and joined Bill Pappas to solidify the engineering staff on Vitor Meira’s No. 4 car. The chemistry between the driver and his two engineers was strong, helping them collect seven Top Five and six podium finishes together. With the expansion of Panther two a two-car IndyCar Series team again next year, Harvey has returned to his position as Race Engineer and will try to develop the same relationship with Kosuke Matsuura that helped make 2006 such a successful year for Meira and Panther.

A native of Hagerstown, Indiana, Woody has also worked on engineering staffs with A.J. Foyt Racing, Cheever Racing and Sam Schmidt Motorsports.
