INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (December 13, 2013)- Born in colonial Massachusetts on this day in 1636, were the first units of what is known today as the United States National Guard. From those simple beginnings, the National Guard has become the longest standing military force in the United States with more than 460,000 soldiers and airmen serving all 54 states and territories. The National Guard is critical to our nation's security and well being, whether it's serving the local community, being first on the scene when natural disasters strike, or supporting military operations overseas, our citizen soldiers are ‘Always Ready, Always There.'

"Everyone here at Panther Racing wishes the National Guard a Happy 377th Birthday," said John Barnes, Managing Partner of Panther Racing. "As long-time partners of the Guard, we have been privileged to know some of the best men and women this country has to offer and to witness first-hand the important missions they serve for our states, our country, and the world. We are truly honored to represent them."
