“We felt like this is a big step for our business and our company, and we’ve got an incredible website and a phenomenal group of people here to showcase our abilities,” John Barnes, managing partner of Panther Racing, said. “For years Panther has utilized the best graphic designers, vinyl installers and equipment in the entire industry and now we’ve built Panther Graphics up to a level where we are able to provide the same high-performance services to the public. I can tell you from experience the work these guys do here is incredible.”

Panther Graphics has wrapped vehicles that have appeared in the Olympic Swim Trials, Gumball Rally 3000, 59th Hoosier Hundred, the Indianapolis 500 and the upcoming Fireball Run. In the same short span of time the organization has also served clients from Oracal, INDYCAR, US Chamber of Commerce, Lids, Sharp Copiers, the National Guard and others.

For Panther the concept of wrapping its racecars originated in 2009, when the National Guard agreed to have the team’s No. 4 car designed in full ACU-camouflage for that year’s Indianapolis 500. Concerned with the amount of time it would take for such a complex paint job, Panther explored the possibility of having its car wrapped in vinyl instead of a traditional paint scheme. The team quickly found the vinyl wraps were lighter, more durable and the sponsor logos were much more clear and vibrant compared to previous paint jobs. As a result, Panther began wrapping all of its racecars with a specialized group of high-performance installers that had come highly recommended from Alabama.

Last year Panther brought the entire group of designers and installers in-house and formed Panther Graphics, initially to service all its internal needs while offering a limited selection of services within the motorsports community. Throughout 2012 the company has taken on more projects and continued to expand, leading to today’s announcement that Panther Graphics will now provide the same elite high-performance services provided to Panther Racing to the general public.

“People who know me will tell you I don’t let just anybody come in here and work on our racecars, but the installers at Panther Graphics are some of the best in the country at what they do,” Barnes continued. “So as a potential customer you honestly have to consider: If these graphics can work on a world-class racecar at 230 mph, just imagine what they can do for you.”
