INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (January 5, 2009) – With the 2009 IndyCar Series season still months away, fans can now order new 1:18th scale die-cast cars featuring Wheldon's car from last season's Australia race. Each car has been hand signed by Wheldon, the former Indianapolis 500 winner.

Interested fans need to go to http://pantherracing.com/pantherpack/diecastorder.cfm to order their cars. Only a limited supply remain, and each car is $50.00.

Fans can fill out the reservation form from the website and have one of the collectable cars shipped directly to their home.

“I can’t say enough how great it is to be back and working with Panther again,” Wheldon said. “Everybody here works very hard and this is going to be a big season for all of us. It’s all about winning races – and that’s what I plan to do."

Panther announced that Wheldon, the former Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar Series champion, has signed an agreement to return to the team that started his open-wheel career six years earlier. Since leaving Panther in 2002, the Englishman has become one of racings most successful and dynamic stars.

After previously driving a yellow No. 15 entry for the team, Wheldon suited up and drove Panther’s coveted No. 4 car, which now combines one of IndyCar’s most successful teams with its brightest star.

The team will Email a response to fans when the reservation is received and then again with payment instructions when the cars are ready to ship. Each die-cast will be sold at a discounted price of $50.00 plus shipping and handling to all those who reserve a car while supplies last.
